Degree College Built With Rs. 18 Crores Is Becoming Dilapidated, Not Being Used! MP writes a letter to the Governor

MP Sanjay Seth requested the Governor cum Chancellor to intervene in the matter

Ranchi Desk : Three years have passed since Degree College was built in Angara block, but studies have not started here yet. This building has started falling into disrepair due to lack of use. The construction of this degree college building was started by former Chief Minister Raghuvar Das. Ranchi Lok Sabha MP Sanjay Seth has written a letter to Jharkhand Governor cum Chancellor CP Radhakrishnan on this issue.

Sanjay Seth has requested in his letter that the Governor should take this issue seriously and try to start this degree college as soon as possible. In his letter, he has also told about the objective of construction of this degree college.

Degree College Angara

The Government built the college at a cost of about Rs. 18 crore

Sanjay Seth has written in his letter that a huge building has been constructed in Bedwadi village of Angara block of Ranchi district by the Building Construction Department, Government of Jharkhand by spending about Rs. 18 crore for running the degree college.

He said that with the idea of providing a degree college to this area, the then Chief Minister Raghuvar Das had laid the foundation stone of this building and started the construction work. The building is equipped with many state-of-the-art facilities and is completely ready.

Degree College Studies

The then Vice Chancellor and Registrar were also present at the time of foundation stone laying

Lok Sabha MP Sanjay Seth said that the then Vice Chancellor and Registrar were also present on the occasion of laying the foundation stone of the construction work of this degree college. At that time, they had said that as soon as the college building is ready, graduation studies will be started in it.

He expressed surprise that now more than 3 years have passed since the college building was completed, but studies have not started. He said that due to lack of use this building is falling into disrepair.

Degree College in Ranchi District

This building is about 22 kilometers away from Ranchi University

In his letter, MP Sanjay Seth said that this building built for running the degree college is located in the village, about 22 kilometers away from Ranchi University. Once studies start here, it can prove to be a boon for the students of this area. This area is at the center of Namkum and Angara blocks.

He said that a population of about two lakhs resides in this area. Children of the area still have to go to Ranchi for graduation. Capable children stay and study in Ranchi, but poor children miss out on their education. He has requested that the concerned authorities should be directed to operate a degree college in the said building without any delay.
