Signs Of Corruption In Convocation : Neeraj Verma
Ranchi Desk : All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) has submitted a demand letter to the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University Administration demanding to make public the details of the income and expenditure of the convocation ceremony held recently. The student organisation said that there are indications of corruption in this convocation.
According to AJSU, some students of the University have complained to AJSU that corruption might have taken place in the convocation ceremony organised by the University. Recently, the Aniversity Administration had collected a fee of Rs 800/- per student for the convocation ceremony of the University. Even after this, thousands of applicant students were deprived of attending the convocation ceremony as they were not issued gate passes for the convocation ceremony.

University Administration Has Collected Huge Amount As Fees
AJSU’s Neeraj Verma said that the University Administration has received a huge amount from the students as fees for organising the convocation ceremony. Therefore, students have the right to be provided with complete information about the income and expenditure of the convocation ceremony in the light of the amount donated by them.
He said that AJSU has submitted the demand letter to the Registrar in this regard. Apart from this, an application has also been made under the Right to Information to get the details of the income and expenditure of the convocation ceremony in a constitutional manner. He said that Student Organisations have been receiving reports of corruption in Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University for many days.

Will Protest Against Corruption By Raising The Voice Of Students
Neeraj Verma said that in such a situation, now the students and Student Organisations will have to raise their voice and protest against the corruption prevalent in the University campus. AJSU will not remain silent in this matter.
While submitting the demand letter, Neeraj Verma, Abhishek Shukla, Ashutosh Kumar, Ritwik Raj, Soni, Mukesh, Kuldeep, Kishore, Sumit, Sudhanshu, Yuvraj, Prakash, Prasidh etc. were present.
