Ranchi Desk : Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad Ranchi Mahanagar (ABVP Ranchi) burnt the effigy of Mamata Banerjee in protest against the Sandeshkhali incident. ABVP alleged that women are continuously being abused and tortured in Sandeshkhali, West Bengal.

It is worth mentioning that recently there was an uproar in the entire country after the news of heinous crimes against women from Sandeshkhali in West Bengal came to light. Shahjahan Shaikh, former leader of West Bengal’s ruling party Trinamool Congress (TMC) was the main accused in this crime. Presently he is behind the bars of jail.

Mamata Government Remained Sitting As A Mute Spectator

ABVP Ranchi student leaders, after burning the effigy of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, said that women were continuously being abused and tortured in Sandeshkhali, but the Mamata Government remained a mute spectator. This is extremely condemnable.

Student leaders said that in Sandeshkhali under 24 Parganas district, Bangladeshi infiltrator Shahjahan Sheikh continued committing heinous crimes like forcible land occupation, sexual harassment, gangrape and murder, but the Mamata Government did not take any action.

Women Are Fighting To Save Their Identity

On this occasion, ABVP Ranchi Mahanagar Secretary Rituraj Shahdev said that in the state where Goddess of Power Maa Durga is worshiped prominently, the women of the same state are today forced to fight to save their identity.

He alleged that Mamata Government is carrying out illegal infiltration from Bangladesh for vote bank. These illegal infiltrators are being used like robots. Mamata Banerjee’s Government is doing disgusting politics in Bengal. This is unfortunate and condemnable.

Mamata Government Used All Its Power To Save The Goons

Giving her views, Sharda Kumari, Joint Secretary of ABVP Ranchi Mahanagar, said that the women are forced to struggle to save their identity in such a state, which itself is headed by a woman. This is a matter of great shame.

She said that when the women of Sandeshkhali appealed to the Mamata Government for help, the West Bengal Government used all its power to save the TMC goons. This proves that Mamata Government is giving protection to these goons.

During the effigy burning event of Mamata Banerjee Government of West Bengal, ABVP’s State Office Joint Secretary Vidyanand Rai, State Secretariat Executive Chief Kartik Gupta, Mahanagar Office Joint Secretary Soni Kumari, Kiran Kumari, Yash Chaurasia, Sachin Kumar, Nandraj Tiwari, Kabir Sharma, Pari Kumari, Sonal Jha were present along with many other students.
