Citizenship Will Be Given To These Non-Muslim Refugees
Under CAA, there is a provision to give citizenship to people of other religions coming from three Muslim-majority neighboring Countries except the Muslim community. The Central Government has also created a web portal related to CAA, which will now be launched after the notification is issued.
The minorities coming from three Muslim-majority neighboring Countries will have to register themselves on this portal and after Government scrutiny, they will be given citizenship under the Act. For this, there will be no need to provide any documents to the displaced minorities from Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The Central Government Had Amended The Act In 2019
Let us tell you that in the year 2019, the Narendra Modi led Central Government had amended the Citizenship Act. In this, a provision was made to give Indian citizenship to six minorities (Hindus, Christians, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists and Parsis) who came from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh before December 31, 2014. According to the rules, the power to grant citizenship will be in the hands of the Central Government.
Now, after the Home Ministry issued the notification to implement CAA, the way has been cleared for granting Indian citizenship to the refugees coming from these neighboring Countries. However, opposition parties have also started raising questions on the timing of implementing CAA.
